  • During your rotation you will have interaction with teaching attendings, other students, residents, and fellows rotating through the program.
  • Very good clinical experience of inpatient hospital management and outpatient medical care.

  • Schedule would be both inpatient and outpatient and will be decided by the Attending Physician in advance.
  • The rough time of attendance would be 9 to 10 AM in the morning till 4-5 PM in the evening.
  • The final schedule and timing will be decided by the Attending Physician – some days may be longer and some days may be shorter.

  • In the clinic, students will have a total hands-on experience involving history taking and physical examination.

  • Clinical Responsibilities
As part of the clinical team, students will:
  • Interact with diverse patient populations
  • Perform detailed history taking and physical examinations
  • Review labs, imaging, and EMR notes
  • Formulate differential diagnoses
  • Create assessment and treatment plans under attending supervision
  • Follow up on assigned patients daily
  • Participate in discharge planning and execution

This rotation provides a comprehensive hands-on internal medicine experience for medical graduates committed to becoming effective residents. It is designed to prepare international medical graduates (IMGs) for the US clinical environment through real clinical exposure under the supervision of teaching attendings.

At the end of your rotation, you may request performance-based Letters of Recommendation from your attendings.

LOR Type: Hospital letterhead for Baylor Scott & White Hospital and Texas Heart Letterhead for Presbyterian Hospital, Allen. LORs will be based on Performance/Sincerity and Attendance.

  • You can book your rotation before 2 months of rotation start date by paying $350 deposit which will be counted towards your total rotation fees. If cancelled, it is nonrefundable.
  • ⁠Full rotation fee payment is due 2 months before the rotation start date.
  • You can also pay the entire rotation fee at the start without putting a deposit down.
  • ⁠50% if the total fees paid will be refunded if rotation is canceled before 4 weeks of the start date.
  • No refunds after that (within 4 weeks of start date).
