LOR Type: Personalized LOR from the faculty of the hospital, Chief of Internal Medicine & Director of ICU and Critical Care. Individualized LOR based on performance/sincerity & attendance.

Physician Affiliation: Professor of Medicine & Faculty at JPH; director of ICU and critical care services at the hospital.

Residency Program: Yes at the Hospital

Daily morning rounds, Monday to Friday, roughly 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (timings subject to change based on attending physician's schedule).
Rounds are mainly conducted in: ICU, Critical Care, Intermediate Care, and Internal Medicine Floors.
Students may also choose to do Saturday/Sunday hours for additional experience.

Students will interact closely with:

Students may be required to attend: Didactics, Lectures, Grand Rounds.

While functioning as part of the clinical team, students will:

Take detailed patient history
Perform physical examinations
Review labs and clinical notes
Create differential diagnoses
Develop assessment and treatment plans (under supervision)
Follow up on assigned patients daily
Participate in discharge planning and execution

This rotation offers a unique clinical learning experience for medical graduates committed to becoming effective residents. It prepares international medical graduates (IMGs) for the US clinical environment through supervised, hands-on experience. You will train under a teaching attending physician and function as a clinical learner.

At the end of the 4-week rotation, students may request a performance-based Letter of Recommendation (LOR) on official hospital letterhead.

LOR Type: Hospital letterhead, Chief of Internal Medicine. Individualized LOR will be given based on performance/sincerity and attendance.

You can book your rotation up to 2 months before the rotation start date by paying a $350 deposit, which will be counted towards your total rotation fees.
⁠The $350 deposit will also get you the Visa letter if you need one. (If your visa is denied, the $350 is non-refundable). If booking is canceled for any reason, the $350 deposit is non-refundable.
⁠If the rotation you have booked becomes unavailable for some reason, we will try to give you a similar rotation.
Full rotation fee payment is due 2 months before the rotation start date.
⁠You can also pay the entire rotation fee at the start without putting a deposit down.
⁠50% of the total fees paid will be refunded if the rotation is canceled for any reason before 4 weeks of the start date.
⁠No refunds after that (within 4 weeks of the start date).

Weekend hours: Students may choose to do Saturday/Sunday hours for enhanced clinical exposure.

Procedural exposure: Opportunity to observe and assist in advanced critical care procedures including bronchoscopies, intubations, and code management.
