MSR’s IM + Cardiology rotation in Chicago pairs core inpatient medicine with Cardiology exposure — consults, ECHOs, Stress test, Treadmill stress tests observation, ICU consults and Mx and a subspecialty voice on your letter. Program Directors notice applicants who do things above and beyond others. This rotation will make you stand out.

This rotation provides a comprehensive clinical experience in internal medicine/cardiology, combining inpatient rounding and outpatient clinic exposure. It is designed to prepare medical graduates, including international medical graduates (IMGs), for the US clinical environment under the supervision of an attending physician.

At the end of the 4-week rotation, students may request a performance-based Letter of Recommendation (LOR) on official hospital letterhead .

LOR Type: Hospital letterhead, Chairman Heme/Oncology Service. LOR will be based on performance/sincerity and attendance.

You can book your rotation up to 2 months before the rotation start date by paying a $350 deposit, which will be counted towards your total rotation fees.
⁠The $350 deposit will also get you the Visa letter if you need one. (If your visa is denied, the $350 is non-refundable). If booking is canceled for any reason, the $350 deposit is non-refundable.
⁠If the rotation you have booked becomes unavailable for some reason, we will try to give you a similar rotation.
⁠Full rotation fee payment is due 2 months before the rotation start date.
⁠You can also pay the entire rotation fee at the start without putting a deposit down.
⁠50% of the total fees paid will be refunded if the rotation is canceled for any reason before 4 weeks of the start date.
⁠No refunds after that (within 4 weeks of the start date).

Clinical Settings: Both inpatient hospital rounding and outpatient EMR & hands on experience based on ground attendee physician.

Teaching Attending: Direct supervision and mentorship.

LOR: Provided by attending physician on hospital letterhead.
