  • In-Patient Hospital Rounds
  • Daily morning rounds, Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (timings may change based on attending physician’s schedule).
  • Students may also choose to do Saturday hours for additional exposure.

  • In-patients on the medical floors
  • ICU patients with Internal Medicine–related conditions
  • Specialty Clinics & Dialysis Exposure
  • Students may be required to attend CKD Clinics and Hypertension Clinics.
  • Students may participate in dialysis rounds at a nearby dialysis center.

As part of the clinical team, students will:

  • Perform detailed patient history taking
  • Conduct physical examinations
  • Review labs and patient notes
  • Formulate differential diagnoses
  • Develop assessment and treatment plans (with supervision)
  • Follow up daily on all assigned patients
  • Participate in discharge planning and documentation

This rotation offers a valuable, hands-on clinical experience designed for medical graduates who aim to become effective and successful residents. It prepares international medical graduates (IMGs) for the US clinical environment under the supervision of a teaching attending physician.

  • Letter of Recommendation

At the end of the 4-week rotation, students may request a performance-based Letter of Recommendation (LOR) on official hospital letterhead.

LOR Type: Hospital letterhead. LOR will be based on performance/sincerity and attendance.

  • Payment & Refund Policy
  • You can book your rotation up to 2 months before the rotation start date by paying a $350 deposit, which will be counted towards your total rotation fees.
  • ⁠The $350 deposit will also get you the Visa letter if you need one. (If your visa is denied, the $350 is non-refundable). If booking is canceled for any reason, the $350 deposit is non-refundable.
  • ⁠If the rotation you have booked becomes unavailable for some reason, we will try to give you a similar rotation.
  • ⁠Full rotation fee payment is due 2 months before the rotation start date.
  • ⁠You can also pay the entire rotation fee at the start without putting a deposit down.
  • ⁠50% of the total fees paid will be refunded if the rotation is canceled for any reason before 4 weeks of the start date.
  • ⁠No refunds after that (within 4 weeks of the start date).
  • Dialysis Exposure

Dialysis Rounds: Students may participate in dialysis rounds at a nearby dialysis center, gaining practical exposure to ESRD management and renal replacement therapy.

Specialty Clinics: CKD Clinic and Hypertension Clinic attendance provides comprehensive nephrology training.
