This rotation is conducted in partnership with the Chairman of Cardiology at two prominent teaching hospitals in Chicago — St. Bernard Hospital Medical Center and Jackson Park Hospital Medical Center. The attending cardiologists at both institutions conduct live, virtual tele-rounds for enrolled students.

Rounds are conducted virtually and typically run between one to three hours, scheduled between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00–3:00 p.m. Central Standard Time. This format has been widely appreciated by students who are short on time, based overseas, or unable to obtain a U.S. visa for in-person rotations.

The LOR will reflect your attendance and participation in cardiology rounds, highlighting your interest and engagement — rather than specifying the format as a daily in-person rotation.
